What we’re about.
SHARED.
Our corner-to-corner algorithm matches people headed in the same direction. This means you’re getting the convenience and comfort of a private ride with the efficiency, speed, and affordability of a public one.

AFFORDABLE.
Your trip will often cost no more than a standard public transit trip.

SUSTAINABLE.
Sharing rides reduces the number of vehicles on the roads, bringing down congestion and CO2 emissions. With a couple of taps, you get to do your part to make your city a little bit greener and cleaner, every time you ride.

It's been two years of me using Via. Currently it's the cheapest service which is why I still use it, yet my 1 star review remains. It's understandable, cheap prices mean lower quality rides. The drivers are okay, but the app is horrendous. You'll place the pickup somewhere and be told to walk 4 blocks elsewhere to actually get in the ride. Also, the dropoffs are far 99% of the time. ETA is always wrong as well. Late rides...A lot of improvements could be done...bring back in app support!!

On the surface this is a great app. Cost efficient , great friendly drivers who know the city, and overall a help to the elderly and disabled community. However, I find that this isnt worthy of five stars. Nor four. One of the biggest issues being the wait times. Sometimes two minutes. Sometimes half an hour or no rides at all because routing takes drivers on longest path possible to fill the most seats--which I cant blame them for but it happens so often it's hard to ignore.

2/23/18: Not a reliable mode of transportation if you have a leg injury! I should've researched this service more because there's no door-to-door service. And the drivers rely too heavily on GPS! They should already know the shortcuts in the town they're in! My last driver was actually going to take the scenic route instead of the highway for a mile-long trip because GPS told him to! Thanks, Via, but no thanks! 9/16/2019: Via has improved significantly since my last review! Thanks!
